GRP or Composite Doors

GRP or Composite DoorsNot all people like PVCu or plastic doors and have been willing to have the windows replaced but have decided to keep with the timber front door as prefer the look.

The down sides have always been that the door needs year in and out attention, in winter a timber door has the tendency to soak up moisture making it difficult to close yet still managing got let in a draft, in the spring or summer you are left with the maintenance of refreshing the varnish or paint and possible having to plain the door back to make ease of closing, you know the cycle and this is with out mentioning that you have to put on 2 locking systems to make you fairly secure.

The good news now is that you are able to combine the elegant looks of a timber door and the many benefits that a modern PVCu door can offer, how ever they are not manufactured they same as a PVCu product.

Manufacture

Composite4ResinFleurLifestyleThese products are manufactured from Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) and material which most boat builders will be familiar with. GRP enables us to manufacture doors to traditional designs and also enables us to use different colour's and a more natural timber finish. The doors are compression molded, the centre material is reinforced insulated poly foam, and this makes the finish products actually much stronger than a timber door leaving no weak spots in panels.

Maintenance

The tough and durable exterior of the GRP/composite door has the true aesthetics of wood with out the need for painting or varnishing, making it practically maintenance free.

Finishing touches

Security

Stable doors
