Patented anti-slip hinge guards lock technology are provided standard along the hinged side of the window. Secured by Design is the police preferred specification that was created to help ‘design out’ crime using high-quality, advanced products and processes. To achieve Secured by Design status, the OW-80 has had to adhere to the rigorous test standards required by the police.

The OW-80 achieves PAS:24 and Secured by Design using Yale’s highly renowned Encloser Lock.

Bi-directional locking that works by engaging cylindrical cams into a zinc alloy keep, which when locked, compressed, and engaged, provides an extremely dependable system, as well as excellent weathering, ensuring that your home is safe from intruders and the elements.

Colour options

The OW-80 window is available in over 150 different RAL colours for you to choose from.

Quite simply the choice is yours – do you want your new windows to blend in with your brickwork, render or cladding, replace like for like, or make a bold statement?

Many of the RAL colours come with the option of offering a matt, satin, or gloss finish. you can also take advantage of the dual colour option, meaning your exterior colour can complement the exterior of your home while the interior frame can be neutral or contrast with your colour scheme inside.

Flawlessly Finished

Origin aluminium is coated with the highest-grade powder available. Making it extremely hard-wearing, resistant to scratches and colour fading for peak longevity.

Employed using an electrostatic method after a special pre-treatment, it is then treated at 200°C forming a strong coating that is tougher than conventional paint, while maintaining a completely smooth surface it offers the benefit of being highly resilient to the elements.

Thermally Efficiency

Aluminium is not a naturally thermally efficient material, which is why the Origin Research and Development team have designed the OW-80 Window range to have thermal polyamide breaks in. These have been designed to limit the heat transfer from one side of the unit to the other. This, combining with some of the most sophisticated weather tight seals on the market, ensure the elements stay out.

Low U-Values

The U-Value of a building material measures how effectively it insulates a building, meaning the lower the U-Value, the better the insulation properties of that material are and the better insulation you will achieve in your property.

Current Building Regulation Requirements for New Builds (at the time of this blog) requires the OW-80 window to have a limiting U-Value of 1.6 W/m²K and for replacements, to have a U-Value of 1.4 W/m²K.
