Gable Front Warm-Roof – Case Study

Gable Front Warm-Roof – Mrs. McMullin’s lean-to conservatory had several issues. The low ceiling made the space feel less spacious, and temperature swings left it too hot in summer and too cold in winter. Its open-plan connection to the house also affected the comfort of adjoining rooms.

The Solution

We installed a gable front Warm-Roof  – The UltraRoof  from Ultraframe with anthracite grey aluminum frames and bi-fold doors, instantly increasing the internal height and creating a more spacious, airy environment. For the first time, we fitted internal blinds between the panes of glass, providing a sleek, maintenance-free shading solution.

We finished the roof with carbon grey slate and the interior with a crisp white finish. We also carried out minor building work to level the existing full-height wall and plaster boarded and skimmed the space to create a seamless finish.

The Result

The room now feels bright, modern, and comfortable all year round. Mrs. McMullin and her family can enjoy the space even in winter, as shown in one of the images featuring their lovely Christmas tree. The higher ceiling transformed the conservatory into a stunning extension that fits perfectly with the rest of the home.
