The Challenge

When Mr. and Mrs. Grech came to us, they faced a problem we hear often: they both work from home but didn’t have a proper office.

They had been working at the dining table, but that setup quickly became frustrating. They wanted their dining room back, and they needed a dedicated workspace where they could focus, stay organised, and feel comfortable every day.

Their goals were clear:

• Create privacy from neighbours

• Fill the space with natural light

• Maintain a clear view of the garden

• Ensure the room felt comfortable in every season

Our Approach

We designed a space that ticked every box while adding thoughtful details that made the room even more practical.

• Privacy with Purpose: We built a full-height wall to screen the office from neighbours. Instead of just a divider, the wall doubles as smart storage, keeping the room clutter-free.

• Year-Round Comfort: We installed a lightweight solid LivinRoof from Ultraframe. Inside, we fully insulated and plastered it, so the Grechs can enjoy a comfortable workspace no matter the weather.

• Light and Connection: To balance the solid roof, we added roof glazing panels. These panels pour natural light into the office and brighten the main house as well.

• Finishing Touches: Outside, we styled the office with a two-tier cornice and fitted elegant white PVCu French doors that open directly onto the garden — creating a smooth link between indoors and outdoors.

Now, instead of juggling work around the dining table, they enjoy a room built for productivity and comfort.
