PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Vertical Sliding Sash Windows – Case Study

Mr. & Mrs. C wanted to replace their existing timber vertical sliding sash windows and wooden door. They were keen to maintain the traditional look of their home. The challenge was to combine modern performance with period-accurate aesthetics.

Solution

  • Windows: White PVCu vertical sliding sash windows were installed, featuring a deep bottom rail and run-through sash horns where required to replicate traditional joinery.

  • Front Door: A full-panel red composite door was fitted, incorporating a finger-pull lock instead of a lever handle for a cleaner, period-appropriate appearance.

  • Frame and Detailing: The door features a white frame and custom stained glass incorporating the house number, preserving the character of the property while adding a unique touch.

Result

The completed installation delivers modern durability and security without compromising the home’s original charm. The attention to detail, from sash horns to bespoke stained glass, ensures the property retains its period authenticity while benefiting from the performance of contemporary materials.

Customer Feedback:

The final results speak for themselves. Our home looks beautiful, and the windows and door feel solid and secure.
