PROJECT DESCRIPTION

White Woodgrain Windows – Case Study

White Woodgrain Windows – Mr. and Mrs. Allan approached us with the goal of updating the windows and door of their traditional Cornish cottage while preserving its original character. They wanted a solution that combined modern functionality with classic style.

Solution
We installed white wood-grain windows and a matching door, carefully styled to complement the original frames of the cottage. The windows are floating (French) style, allowing both vents to open fully without a fixed mullion bar, providing an open, unobstructed view.

To enhance the traditional aesthetic, we added astragal Georgian bars and classic monkey tail handles, maintaining the cottage’s timeless charm while providing the benefits of modern design.

Outcome
The finished installation successfully merged functionality with style. Mr. and Mrs. Allan were extremely pleased with the result, appreciating both the improved usability and the visual appeal of their windows and door.

Key Features

  • Floating (French) windows for full vent access

  • White wood-grain finish to match the cottage aesthetic

  • Astragal Georgian bars for a classic look

  • Traditional monkey tail handles for authentic detailing

Client Feedback

We couldn’t be happier with the windows and door. They look fantastic and feel perfect for our cottage.
